I create my Cabernet Franc with fruit grown on beautiful old vines by the dedicated Zerk family in the Barossa Valley.
Genetically related to Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc has less tannin and is more aromatic with raspberry and five spice flavours, making my wine ideal for food matching.
There are only about 33 Hectares of Cabernet Franc remaining planted in the Barossa Valley. I work closely with my growers to ensure that this variety stays planted, therefore maintaining diversity that the Barossa needs, as a world famous wine region.
It would be impossible to complete my Art Collection without expressing my own take on the often mis-understood Cabernet Franc variety. I have developed many wine making techniques over decades, that lead to my wine styles being luscious, ripe, and full flavoured with soft tannins.
