I create my Merlot from two small parcels of fruit grown by the dedicated Ward and Kraft families in the Barossa Valley.
There is a long history of Merlot making in my family and I want to showcase the wine’s classic dark cherry and plum flavours, along with its soft silky tannins.
I have so many fond memories of creating Luxury Merlots and Cabernet Franc styles with my father Jim, that it would be impossible to complete my Art Collection without expressing my own take on these often mis-treated varieties. There are many family secret techniques developed over decades, that lead to luscious, ripe, full flavoured styles with soft tannins and although I may not reveal any of these secrets in person, you will easily discover the perfect answers in your glass.
